Florence Nightingale's 200th birthday is May 12, 2020.  W.H.O. is leading many countries to celebrate the Year of the Nurse and Midwife.  Mack schools of nursing are the only ones in Canada founded on her principals, one of which is that a nurse would be trained by a qualified nurse.  Florence would be so proud of nursing today and how they are responding to the COVID19 challenges using many of the infection control guidelines she established. 
On this day,  Niagara Falls lights reflected the Mack school colours and 5 area hospitals and the Welland bridge were lit in blue lights in honour of her work.
