The Final June Celebration Dinner The Mack Alumni Association held a dinner the first Friday of June each year to recognize and celebrate th class that graduated 50 years ago. In 2024, the Class of 1974 was the last class to graduate from The Mack School of Nursing, as the province had moved all hospital - based education programs to local community colleges and universities.
After 150 years of top rated nursing education, the Alumni chose this year to close the Association in style and celebration. The final dinner was a spectacular "Black and Bling" themed gala. Recognition was received from Dr. Leigh Chapman, Chief Nurse of Canada, Registered Nurses of Ontario, and media publications. A special recognition was given by Jenny Stevens, MPP for St. Catharines, in the legislature for the schools of nursing influence on the wider nursing community and the Alumni's Scholarship Fund. Individual classes also celebrated special reunions over that weekend: 1954 - 70 years, 1959 - 65 years, 1964 - 60 years, and 1969 - 55 years!
